My experience with Grandville High School has been nothing but wonderful. Each time I have had to contact one of my son's teachers with a question, they are always quick to respond. GHS offers every student the opportunity to excel, with a strong commitment to educational excellence and the facilities, resources and committed staff to back it up!
Grandville is a bit of a hypocrite. There is no diversity and I've seen many kids get picked on just for being of 'color'. There diversity group isn't doing much to make it real diverse. This school needs help!
Grandville High School is a very different high school. It is Very exceeding in it's academics, but when it comes to what you where and the way you act, It's a whole different story. GHS's teachers, well most of them really care about you, and really want to see you exceed, and do well. With all of the programs, and classes they offer It's hard not to find something you like. But on the other hand, God help you if you don't have money, in this school you're either 'Rich' or 'Poor', the rich students have the nice clothes, nice shoes, nice cars, etc. And it is very easy to tell. If you don't have the newest clothes, then you are cast out, at GHS it's like the clothes make the person, trust me. And on the sports side, your either the best or the worst, just like with the clothes.
Grandville is a great school district; I wouldn't choose any other high school! There is a wide selection of courses in addition to the required core classes, and most of these are well-developed programs that stand out (even in comparison to other schools). While every school has its own share of low-quality teachers, it is equally true that I've met some of the greatest mentors in my life at Grandville. I will say this for the school: the opportunity for a fantastic education is there. The student will get back however much (or little) he or she decides to put it.
