The principal is a kook - she is so phony. She pretends to care about kids, but she only cares about raising money. Some of her staff is incompetent and she knows.
The steps and process for special needs children needs to be evaluated. The transition process for the child is awful. They threw the child right into the system and the child is the one that suffers. When I spoke to the special needs teacher she didn't even pay attention to me. She didn't even know anything about my child. It would have been better if she had a file on my child. The way I was introduced made me wonder how disorganized is this classroom.
Jefferson school does not welcome kids with special needs.The teachers seem to avoid the effort they need to put for the kids needing extra help.The principal's actions and leadership needs to improve.
We are very pleased with the teaching staff. They really seem to care about the students. The parents support the school in all activities -sports,academics,fundraisers,etc. The only negative is questionable leadership from the Principal. Although she seems to care for all the children, her actions and leadership could improve.
