Anytime you hear that a child Loves to go to school, you should realize that you are witnessing a miracle! Be grateful and supportive to those who are making the dreams of those children, and the parents of those children, a reality! Great job R.E.Baker Elementary!
R. E. Baker is a tremendous school and I am so thankful that my grandchildren are getting a great education within those walls. I took my granddaughter to KG orientation and the presentation given by the principal, Mr. Matt Young, and the couselors made me feel very confident that the children going to Baker would feel love and would challenged in their academic work. I have read several articles in the newspaper about the schoolwide projects that the school participates in such as the Heifer Project. All children in all grades studied a country from around the world and then made craft projects common to that country. They then sold those projects at a community Around the Square night held by our Chamber of Commerce. The children earned enough money to buy an ark, that is they were able to buy many animals that the Heifer Project gives to people around the world to help them better their lives. This is just one example of the of learners and how they partner with the parents and community to bring about not only academic learning, but caring and compassion for others. I volunteer at Baker 3 mornings a week and they always make, not only me, but all who enter the building feel welcome and appreciated. I am blessed to have my grandchildren going to a school that not only challenges them, but also gives them lessons of the heart.
