Our experience at Kellogg, was OK. We had one horrible experience and have left Gull Lake schools because of it. When you have a child that has any kind of problem the public schools, do not really have good solutions. What they recommended was way off base. And now our son is doing fantastic at at charter school. We still have one child at the HS and that experience has been medicore at best. current gull lake parent

Gull Lake Schools are some of the best in Michigan. My daughter spent her elementary years at Kellogg Elementary and had an outstanding experiece. The teachers were balance, concerned about student achievement and socialization and provided wonderful memories for my student. I would not hesitate to endorse Gull Lake Schools. Of course, parent involvement is what makes any school system work and you need to make efforts to help the staff understand needs of your students. Education works best when supported at home.

Kellogg Elementary is a very warm and friendly enviroment. They use different programs to encourage friendly interaction between the students. My children feel very comfortable and happy when they are at school. I think that Kellogg Elementary is a wonderful place for a child to begin their academic career.

At the end of the next school year, both of our children will have attended Kellogg Elementary from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This school provides specialized instruction for academically talented children as well as those who are experiencing difficulty. As with any school, teachers do vary and some are better than others, but overall our experience has been very positive. They have music, sports, and art classes. They have a science fair in which the children have the option of participating. As with any school, parent involvement is critical, but I feel that our participation in our children's education has always been welcomed. The principal is absolutely top notch. She is assessable and willing to assist in addressing any concerns you may have. It is a small school with an active PTO. If you want to be involved there are many opportunities to do so.

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
