Sierra Middle School has a well written school improvement plan in place with a focus on student achievement and parent involvement. The teachers are focused and teach a standards driven curriculum supported by state standards. Active participation by students can be seen in the classrooms and a positive, motivated, successful feeling can be found at this site.
The academic programs offered are average, but the teacher involvement and genuine interest is wonderful. They have an exceptional music program with a great deal of other extracurricular activities and offer unique opportunities for the children to travel. The level of parent involvement is unfortunately very limited, but the teachers help to pick up the slack.
This is a great school! the most importants tests of the country are taken here!this test are called sims, aims, and stanford 9. This scool has many and the best teachers ever. They are really stict due to they want your child to learn and understand the basics. All of my childrens attemped that school because there was never any fight and their grades were fantastic!
