Lake Hood Elementary is the best. The teachers and staff are so happy every day, they know all the kids names, the PTA is very supportive and interactive with the student body and teachers. It's a walking school with no bus service so the parents are very involved and they make safety #1 for all the kids.

I think the teachers/staff try very hard to teach their children well and prepare hard for their state exams. The teachers impress upon the children early that they need to have good studying, listening and problem solving skills to make it in life. We have approximately 50% minorities in our school and it is very important to embrace other cultures and make friends with them. I'd like to see the different ethnic groups not separate themselves and create cliques that will continue all the way through highschool. The country is divided and I see it starting all the way down in Kindergarten. Even though it is grim I think children should know what is going on around the world every day so they may come up with ideas to implement when they are older. There are some things kids in their classrooms can do now. That is all for now.
