I am the girls softball coordinator for the Green and White. I am also a parent of four girls and one boy, an alumni of Pen Argyl and have lived in this Pen Argyl and Wind Gap community all my life. I couldn't be more proud of where I'm from, where my children attend school, and all the kids that participate in their music programs, athletics and academic programs. As they say, we are small but we are mighty! We have done one tremendous job competing at all levels against bigger schools with more money and larger student populations. We have heart, determination, and something to prove. Keep up the good work.

A note to the parent's comment on sports, it is not the school that is focusing on the sports that you commented on, it is more the community. The success and focus of the mostly male sports programs you mentioned is do to the students being developed at a young age through clubs supported by parents, coached by parents, and financed by registrations and fund raisers, not by the school distict. The high school provides all the sports teams with the required equipment, coaching, and facilities. It is the community and atheletes participating wich makes those programs have respect. Girls softball is a good example, a good Green and White club and a succesful and respected high school team. The only sport that should be looked at is Cheering, do to the fact that most people do not consider it a sport but as a support of a sport.
