My daughter started kindergarten this year at Somerdale Park. Was very nervous to send her to the public school system as I went to private school. Happy to report that I love this school. Teachers, Principal, and other staff are so helpful to new moms. Thank you!
My children have been at this school for many years. One of my complaints is that after school activities are very political and have exercised favoritism. This is sad for the other children who would like the opportunity to shine.
Administration above the principal needs a change. Other than that- most teachers are awesome! I have learned that parents need to be involved and stop blaming teachers for their child's misbehavior. It starts at home!
The teaching staff is excellent all you have to do is email a teacher and your responded to within 24 hrs, most times sooner. My children are in 7th and 4th grade and while it hasn't been perfect every year my children are very happy here and the teachers they've had have been wonderful to them.
