Teacher quality and accountability is horrific at this school. If you have a student who is complete self starter and high achiever and interested in IB and AP this is the place for them. But average or any kind of learning challange they are lost and swept away. The teachers have no accountability and are basically lazy. We have fought for 4 years with this school and district. Enrollment is shrinking at this school every year and it is easy to see why. Teachers never take the first move with a student or parent to help a child. The district is even worse. The amount of absenses of the teachers horrendous. This is no interest in the student of their advancement. They rote teach and take no responsibility for their actions. They take weeks to grade papers and are terrible with any communication. While some are good very few are.

Beaverton High School does a wonderful job of pulling together a diverse group of students into a tight knit community. Tradition is highly valued, yet each new class is able to add some new piece to help represent themselves within the school. Students not only are provided with a great learning environment, but skilled and friendly teachers and staff, as well as a place to discover one's self and grow as a person. As a student myself I would not have wished to attend any other high school.

The students at Beaverton High and the staff are very diverse and come from all walks of life, yet very few schools out there have a student body that is as unified and prideful as that of Beaverton High. A great school with a genuine spirit.

16 for double dating, and 18 by themselves. So many kids are put in situations that they do not have the capacity to guage!
