I have had the joy of being apart of the King's Christian Academy for the past 14 years. My daughter is a senior this year and I have a son in 9th and a son in the 3rd grade class. Recently my husband and I took our daughter to a university where she was chosen to attend for the fall 08 school year. It was during this weekend that I really saw how well KCA prepared my daughter for college. KCA has a rigorous academic program that does not need lots of extra supplemental programs to challenge children. KCA has involved my children in many extra outside organizations like Summit, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, BlackRock Outdoor School and Sandy Cove Bible Conference. The athletic program is growing and there are opportunities for participation from middle school on up. Like any school there are areas for growth. KCA focuses on the heart.

Overall, KCA has been an excellent place to educate my three children. In the tri-county area, KCA presents the best in Christian education and related activities. KCA has prepared my children for college and beyond. The proof is in the pudding. Ask the students! They will tell you about the school, it's positives and areas of needed improvement. Christian education, where a Biblical worldview is taught, it paramount at KCA. It is disappointing that those who have issues with the schools they write about warp other's opinions of all the good that is being done. Christian education is not for everyone. However, this school is an excellent place to grow academically, socially, and most of all, spiritually.

The quality of the academics is excellent. This is probably due to class size, good kids who listen and want to learn and a teaching staff not burdened with typical public school restrictions and a program firmly planted in Christian principles. The middle and high school level has typically scored well above the national average on standardized testing. Also, the kids really enjoy going to school. The whole environment is conducive to a great educational experience for the kids. KCA has new facilities/campus with room to expand in the future. The school has also expanded their athletic program with competitive sports such as Basketball, soccer, Track, volleyball and Cheerleading.

Our daughter has attended KCA for four years and loves it. She looks forward to going to school. Academics are challenging but our daughter has worked through it and is better for it. These other parents/student reviews may feel it is too challenging. It is a small private school and therefore does not have all of the electives or extracurricular activities that local public schools provide but KCA concentrates on solid academic foundation and building the moral character of the children. I would place KCA's standard test scores against any of the local schools. One student review spoke about non-Christians feeling isolated. This is a Christian school and isn't for everyone. Sports programs have expanded in the past year and KCA has room for future expansion. Visit the school and see for yourself.
