Primary focus is on reading, which has been impressive. However, this leaves little if no time for art, music, p.e., or hands-on projects in science, etc. Teachers are so pre-occupied with trying to fulfill requirements to qualify for federal money, that there is little time for individual child attention to foster growth, creativity and/or teacher - child relationships. The school does not foster creative outlets such as art. 'We don't have time'. There is little effort to incorporate inovative learning techniques into the classroom. Frankly, the Kennedy approach to music, art, hands-on learning and p.e. has been disappointing. I would rate the school low to average in this area.
