We love our school because of the small class sizes. My first grader has 15 other kids in his class. The teachers are wonderful and know almost everyone by name. The principal is always in the hall interacting with children and parents and she is even the head coach of one of our Mighty Mites teams. Being a small town, Highlandville does not have the tax base of the larger surrounding towns, but our kids have some of the most caring, dedicated teachers around!

My son was a new 5th grader this year. The teacher and the school has done an amazing job sparking interest in reading. My son even asked for books for Christmas!! He has always been a run, jump and play outside kid. So to sit still and read 200 page books is a feat. And he enjoys them!!! Thank you. Reading is a great way to become proficient in other areas and not even know you are learning!!

If parents are willing to drive the extra distance, why wouldn't they be allowed to choose? Every school is not a match for every child and parents know their children best ... More »

Definitely! I believe that families should be allowed to attend any school they want, because there are some who went to a good school and parents want what's best for their kids. Even education.
