The professionals at Gibson are lacking. The districts no tolerance policy isn t enforced here and the children know it. The teaching level should be better, this school and all others in the district have routinely scored below the average state scores on the STAR test, and the students themselves are ill prepared for the following grade level work to say nothing of high school level academics. My children have always done well in school and are excelling here however, you don t have to be a genius to be top scoring at this school. Both my children are involved in outside activities because the school offers few itself, the band program is a joke and there are practically no art, sports or extracurricular activities. I am sorry I moved my family to this district two years ago and am now looking forward to leaving at the end of the 2005/2006 year.

This school is a very great school. Even though parent involvement is a little less than what I think is needed, I love all their activities and educational feild trips too. My daughter loved this school so much it actually made her want to come to school and I think that's what counts. Especially when she comes home saying, 'Hold on let me do my homework.' Without me telling her get your homework done or come on finish your homework. She considers homework to be first, and that's a good thing.
