Oh my goodness!!!! You guys worte about that school in 2004 but honey its 2008 and this school is the worst school in Bibb County!!!!!!!!! I Was a student at this school for 2 years (seventh and eight grade) Class of 07 and now im in the ninth grade. I am so happy to be out of this school it dosent make any sense. Its terrible if I could I would give it 0 stars!!!! The lunch taste like pure s word, the milk was always spoil the lunch was always rotten and you can forget about education at this school forget it. I strongly recommend you do not let your child attend this school there were fights everyday, the principal is not serious about what he is doing the scool is just terrible. I speak for everyone in my graduating class when i say this Appling Middle School sucks

As a teacher, let me tell you about some of the things I see everyday at Appling. The children at this school behave terribly and do not want to learn. They curse, make threats, sleep in class, and do poorly on very simple work. Out of 120 students, maybe 5 in each class actually want and try to learn. The principal this year is not helpful and has on several occasions walked by my class in the hall while they were yelling, running around, etc. without saying a word to any of them. This school is heading down hill and I hope I'm not there when it comes crashing down.

appling middle is a great place to be, but Mr. Tompkins and Mrs. Hood were not the best principals, discipline was not a major roll at the school. I know now that the new principal Mrs. Jackson has a lot problems to deal with.

As being a student that attended Appling Middle School I dont think they provided enough education..meaning not having enough teachers. Mostly Appling had substitute teachers. For the first six weeks i didn't have a teacher because my supervision teacher had gang green in one of his feet. Then the next six weeks came around and another teacher just up and left(laugage teacher)and we(eighth graders)had to take the writing test and we had no experience. I am not trying to degrade Appling but the school really needs the state to come in and run that school maybe it will be a better learning environment.
