My son is in his first year at SMS and I think that the school is the epitomy of quality and its staff are the consummate professionals. My son has several advanced classes and while the homework can be overwhelming at times .....that is part of the price to pay. He is constantly challenged to do his best and he does. Postings about violence at the school are grossly over exagerrated. I personally know he school resource officer there and those reports from students about school violence are just plain wrong. I also had to laugh at the 'herrendous' experience one student said he/she had there. I think my son is fortunate to be going to SMS and I look forward to him attending next year.....and if they would get a baseball team started I would really be ecstatic ...keep up the great work.

I am an 8th grader almost finished with SMS. The teachers are terrible and care more about dress code, behavior, and using cell phones than they do academics. I would have liked to have a better experience there. If you're a parent, don't send your child to SMS.

I think my son is getting a wonderful education by some really gifted and devoted teachers. The only complaint if you want to call it that is the overwhelming amount of homework that seems to be assigned especially to children who are in any of the advanced classes. My son looks forward to school each day and enjoys his time there. His grades are directly reflective of the time and attention that the teachers give to him and there can be absolutely no complaints about his grades.....
