This school from a small town of a little over 1500 has excelled over many larger schools in sports, music and leadership. We struggle to keep creative programs from being illiminated and are well deserving of any contributions that would help our little, remote school on the shores of Lake Superior to keep its creativiy and good teachers.
Washburn HS and community are living proof that real,caring education is a community effort. We have thousands of our past graduates return to Washburn WI every five years for a homecoming in a town population of under 2000.
It's a great little school that has maintained high standards and creative solutions to difficult circumstances:in an impoverished and struggling area in challenging economic times.
