My son is a middle school student at Piedmont. He has a great group of friends and is involved in a number of extracurricular activities. Academically, he is challenged to do his best every day. The teachers work hard at getting the kids ready for the next level - high school and beyond. I am pleased with the students, activities, and academics at Piedmont.
We have been Piedmont parents for several years with several children attending right now. Overall it is a great school with reat teachers and advanced studies for the small children to grow. However, some severe issues cause the school not to move forward as a whole. The 'Board' is made up of parents with a 'Good Ole' Boy' mentality. This keeps the school from progressing forward. Also, the 'Grandparents Club' is a 'Retired Good Ole' Boy' system. Hopefully, with time, the country mentality can retire and the school can move forward.
Teacher quality is excellent, Administration leadership is well above average and Piedmont is a school that highly encourages parent involvement. Both my children are Piedmont graduates. I sent them there for the safety, discipline and education emphasis. My son went on to graduate from GA Tech with an electrical engineering degree. We are grateful that we weto re able to give him the edge he needed be successful by sending him to Piedmont.

my son left Piedmont Academy in 2002 went on to Young Harris then on to Georgia Southern to complete his education in his chosen field. He was a baseball player and his coach took him to a level that helped him develop the skills in working with people he uses today. We would do it all over again. Great people, proud to be part of the Piedmont family.
