I am a proud Windham High School graduate of the class of 2006. We are a small community and have had our financial woes, but being apart of this community gives you an education that no amount of money could. At Windham, you are not a number, but an individual. Our teachers spend time, usually more than required, to help shape and prepare these individuals to succeed. Everyone cares about one another and we will always stand behind one of our own. When you leave this school district, no matter how far you may go, you are a Bomber for life. Our pride is something no one could ever learn from a textbook. So if you're looking for extracurriculars and 20+ sports programs, I suggest you go elsewhere, but if you want to be somebody, Windham is a great place to be.

My children graduated from Windham and I feel very strongly they received a good education. They are performing well in college but beleived they were sheltered in the safety of a small school and close community. Of this, of course, we are grateful. Windham is economically challenged but the basics are taught well without a lot of variety of supplemental course options. The elementary school is fantastic with dedicated and inspiring teachers. We have no regrets about choosing to live in Windham.

I am a graduate of Windham High School, with the class of 2007. I think Windham is an excellent school. The teachers there truly care about their students, not just in but also out of the classroom. As a testament to the education you receive I am currently attending Mt. Union College and have a 3.7 gpa. I also know most of my friends have higher then a 3.0 in their first year. As for the cutbacks, yes they are happening, but it's not just a Windham thing, they are happening all around the state. I believe Windham is handling their cutbacks very well. They may not have the multitude of sports of arts that another school may have, but they offer much more than that. WHS is special because of the close knit community within it, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
