This school has one of the best choir programs in the state of Ohio, if not in the entire country. The director is genuinely dedicated to her job, and the results of her dedication reflect in her students'performances. Shawnee's choirs have always been a pleasure to listen to and be a part of, and I reccomend attending one of the school's performances if at all possible. Choral program aside, with my experience at Shawnee, I can say that not a single teacher I met there was just teaching for the paycheck. The teachers are all highly intelligent and caring individuals, although stern when necessary. The balance of education, dedication, and atmosphere makes Shawnee a truly unique and memorable school that passes highly intelligent and capable individuals into the world after high school.
The academics at this school need some serious work and reevaluation. More clubs need to be offered and more attention needs to paid.
This is a High School that will prepare your child for college and beyond. Great students and Teachers.
