Sussex Tech is an excellent school that offers AP classes and a challenging curriculum that will get a student ready for college. My son is an Engineering major in college and is on the Dean's list. I am so happy that we had this school to send our son to.

While the statistics are 'better' the school actually is more concerned about their image as a 'superior school' and this is simply all they can boast. The school, being its own district, receives additional funds and spends it unnecessarily. The school also does not have the Honors Program. How can students learn to compete academically?

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
