I can't relate to stratford being the only high school in berkeley county to have trailers when the other schools have done away with theirs. I don't like having to walk out there when it rains or is cold like it has been in the morning. Sometimes i wish that i ws back in middle school so that i would have a locker and be indoors.
I am a current student. And well involved in activities. The new princliple is fantastic and talks to students and walks around and into classrooms. In fact he even goes to the football games and stands on the side line with the team. They have set up the school bells so students CANT skip. And there is a wide varity of things for your child to do. They also offer tutoring. I am a Jr and im graduating this yr!

Now being a senior at Stratford High, I must say I have learned quite a lot. However, what I have learned has not been from teachers, administration, or guidance. It has been from my peers, my best friends, my enemies, and my experiences from the school. I have learned about myself and acquired much needed common sense, but I haven't learned anything from our so-called school. Our teachers, with the minor exception of some, do not care what we really learn. They seem to have no appreciation or respect for us, but instead bash us on our 'our society has become worse and worse as the years go by.' Do I really want to arrive at school every morning knowing I am walking into a classroom and will receive no respect? NO. Honestly, I have hated Stratford since the second I was a freshman.

I have had two students graduate from Stratford High. One under the old administration and one under the new administration. Both of my children graduated in the top 3% of thier class and in the top 1% of the country. My eldest child is now in graduate school and recieved a full ride(tuition and living expense). My son has also recieved enough to enter college with a full ride (tuition and living expense). Both recieved offers from the top ranking schools. I have found that most of the parents who complain about this school have problems with thier student not the school. This is a very good school but as in any school you will only get out what you put in. Many parents and students need to step up thier game.
