A good foundation starts with the Administrative Staff, foremost the Principal. The Principal at this school is not involved or enthusiastic about her teachers or students and it shows. The school is unorganized, most teachers are poor instructors, many of the staff and parents are unhappy with the administration. Although, the newly hired art teacher (Mrs. Gardier) is fabulous and recently won an award in Austin. She has made the school look bright and colorful like a modern museaum of art. There is also an excellent first grade ESOL teacher, she is also fairly new. You could only be so lucky if your child is in these teacher's classes, my daughter only had the art teacher, her K, 1st, & 2nd grade teachers were less than average. I unenrolled her during 2nd grade, so I can not comment furthur on any other grades.
