Two of my children have attended Borland, the teachers are excellent and attentive, and the office staff is wonderful. The entire district for Imlay City schools is very concerned about the students academically as well as on personal levels. I am very pleased.
Borland offers students a great environment in which to learn! The teachers and office staff are excellent - they genuinely care about kids and want the best for them. The programs are good at Borland and the students seem to come away with a high quality education. The parents and students at Borland are friendly and helpful and welcoming to those of us coming in from outside of the community. Great school, great students, great staff!
My daughter started third grade at Borland this year.She is in the third grade.I figured that in a smaller town maybe some of the snotty, almost diva like behavior that she had picked up at her last school wouldn't be as common here.I was wrong the children are even worse out here.She comes home asking me what certain words that she had been called in spanish meant so I looked them up online in a spanish to english dictionary and could not believe what another third grader had called my little girl. She has also been threatened by two boys in her class. Great School? No!
I love this school. I have 5 kids and we joined this district when my 2nd child was in 3rd grade. He had a wonderful teacher, and I have chosen each teacher since with the recommendation of other parents. I have also found the principal to be very helpful and he's just a nice guy. He always tries to give each child a 'new beginning' each day and strives to help them make better choices. I would definitely choose your teacher though. As in all schools, there are teacher who would not mesh with your child's personality. That's life though.
