HORRIBLE school. The administration and faculty are very unpleasant people. All the thieves and gangs were Also pretty bad. After the first semester of my freshman year, during the Christmas break, I begged my parents to transfer me to La Porte. La Porte is a better environment to be in. If you want a good education and have a good chance of getting to the college of your choice, you'll have a much better chance at La Porte than you ever will at Deer Park.
I think that Deer Park High School is exactly where you would want your child to graduate. My husband and I both went to Deer Park High School and we made sure that our children would graduate here.
2002 graduate. After attending another local school, this school does a wonderful job at preparing students for the future. Doesn't spend a lot of time on learning only what will be on standardized tests, but students are very well prepared for college. Student who go on to college from Deer Park do much better than those of other area schools.
