i know mustang high school is one of the best high schools in oklahoma. the students are your everyday teenagers. they do everything a normal teenager would do at school; go to class, learn, talk to their friends and what ever else they decide to do that day. and for special needs kids, mustang has the highest special needs program in the state. i would know. my little brotheris in it. he is dilexic, and has the mentality of a 4 year old. he has a learning disability, speech impediment and a hearing impediment. and since we moved to mustang, he has improved so much. this is why i recommend mustang school district. their education, sports, and everything else is number 1.

Our children have and still are going thru the entire Mustang School System. I can honestly say along with almost all the other parents that we talk to that the Mustang Grade Schools are about average of most small towns, but when your child gets into middle school it is time to move. If your child makes it to High School, then you best run far and fast. The upper school system only caters to the above average to honor student types, all others are quietly pushed under the rug. If you ask for help you will be amazed at how fast the doors will slam in your face. The students in Mustang are taught to take the national scholastic tests and nothing more. If you have any type of special needs or any form of a learning problem then you do best to go anywhere else.

I find Mustang Mid High is one of the top schools in the greater Oklahoma City area. The staff, teachers, and students are among the best. Having three children graduate from the Mustang Schools, I would recomend our district. The students, their education, is top priority.

I think I had better education in middle school I think the the school is very well kept although I do not like the fact that they dont sell soft drinks at lunch. The girls restrooms need to be kept a little bit cleaner.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
