I really like the school-the academics are top notch and the staff is truly amazing-they seem to love what they do and are excited about teaching! The only downside is the rigidness of the school. Sometimes I wish my child had more time to be a kid during the day.
Two of my children attended MSR. They have a high expectation for academics and proper behavior, which I too, share. As a teacher and a parent, I applaud the school's staff and leadership for upholding the Montessori method which includes grace and courtesy. My children enjoyed a plethora of field trips including Jekyll Island 4-H, plus plays and concerts. My son was in upper elementary and still says the teacher was his favorite of all time! A little known fact about RMA is that they have extremely high ITBS scores. They choose not to publish them because the emphasis is not on a test, but on the individual child. I will say, that if your child is a discipline problem, MSR will try to help you, but you have to be willing to try it the Montessori way. Overall, I give MSR two thumbs up!

We have experienced five Montessori schools in three different states. Of those, this is one of the top two schools we've enjoyed. Two of our children attend, and are flourishing. The teachers are well prepared and appropriately caring. I unconditionally recommend this Montessori school for most children. All parents to whom I've recommended the school in the few years we've lived here have been delighted.

I was disappointed in our experience at The Montessori School of Rome. Our child's teacher lacked the softness & affection a person needs to teach young children. My husband & I attended school functions & what we experienced was that the children were doing what they were told & there was absolutely no fun involved. The children looked like robots. Our child was never excited to show us or tell us about his work. We transferred him to a different school the next year and the difference is phenomenal! I've spoken to a couple of parents who transferred their children as well & they all say that the school has changed over the passed few years. Montessori Schools may all teach by the same method, but the people they employ to educate & care for your child(ren) are most important.
