Sheridan is a great neighborhood school. It is the second oldest in Phila. and still continues in its quest to educate the children of Kensington. The people who work there are dedicated and enthusiastic.
Sheridan has improved graetly since Mrs. Novales became the principal. The school is safer, beautiful and many extra curricular activities are offered. The teachers go the extra mile for the students.

Sheridan has alot of improving to do.there is no extracurricular activities,no sports teams and my son gets gym class once a week for a half an hour. the only after school program I am aware of is an extended day program for 1 hour after school to do homework.A few teachers truly get involved, for the most part, the teachers rarely contact the parents and make them aware of issues and concerns. The principal is a principal to another school as well and is rarely there. There is no music or art classes and the quality of academic programs are low.
