My son and step daughter attend this school. Now they are both on different ends of the academic spectrum. My son has always been a straight A student, involved in peer mentoring, student council, and Gifted and Talented programs for the last four years, my step daughter has always struggled in school. I do not have many nice things to say about this school. My straight A son has struggled since attending, the teachers do not help in any transitions and have a no mercy attitude. Prob would have had more lee way in the military. He has now becomed depressed, and stressed out all of the time, he has panic attacks (that he has to see a doctor about) and finds no joy in learning anymore. I tried talking about my concerns with both the teachers dean of students and nothing! I am looking at alternate ideas for him
Sky View Middle School is an excellent school and a great choice to send your child or children too. The teachers are all very supportive and the kids are also very nice.
You'd better hope you're rich if you want your child to get a good grade. Last year, on more than one occasion, they offered extra credit to children who could pay class fees, etc by an early date. Well that's nice unless you're a low income family. :( I pulled my daughter out of that school and will NEVER send her back.
As a former student of Skyview Middle School, I would like to say that upon my 8th grade graduation, i felt educated and fully prepared to start my high school career.My Sports were fun as well. Greg bradfield, doug bonicelli, trent kropf, leonard lopez,elise faulkner, patrick McAuliffe, and matt sherman were some of the best coaches and 'life teachers' i know. They were also my friends.Skyview is good for the brain, and for the soul.
