This is an outstanding school. I have had two kids involved with this school and they have been treated very well and have received an outstanding education. The staff in this school is highly qualified and outstanding educators.

While one wants to make their local school sound wonderful sadly the Mission Schools has a hard time achieving this. The academic offerings are poor and inadequate. The primary focus is to make the school a chapter school and act as feeder program to the small colleges in Montana. It doesn't send out a product that can function in the workplace if spelling, grammar and unaided (non-computer)thinking is required. Mainline sports are limited and newcomers do not generally see much playing time. The Arts are lacking with no speech/drama and little art/music programs. Parent involvement is selective and depends upon who you are and how willing you are to be the sqeaky wheel. Issues like what color to paint the school are more important than buying books for classes. Tenure has truly soured the education offered at this school and with upcoming RIF cuts it will probably get worse before

The teachers are committed to the childs learning and development. Course of study is adequate for a rural community. Discipline is good and drug activity seems to only affect those who desire to participate. Athletics could be a bit too important with less focus on the arts. For a rural community, the vocational program might be stronger. Overall, the kids seem to do well and are adequately prepped for college. The resources are well used for such a small community. IF the city government, ie: Mayor and city council, would become stronger in school support, the benifit of unity would be a wonderful wittness to our kids. Great Teaching and administration staff. Thank you to all those who make our childrens education possible.
