Our daughter had the same staff watching her the entire time she was in the infant rooms (age 3 - 14 months), and has been extremely happy in the toddler room for the last 2 months (where she still sees some of the staff from the infant room occasionally). She has been progressing extremely well verbally & has great social skills. They seem to have a good schedule & always give us daily reports & reports of any incidents that happened that day (very infrequent). The front door is occasionally left open, but the rooms always have seem to have staff in them watching over the kids. We like that they provide lunch (but only M-Th), but I would say it is pretty average. I can't comment beyond the toddler room, since we have no children in that age range. We'll see how the 2+ rooms are once we get there.
I particuarly did not care for this day care. I went in several times to pick up my step child and was very disturbed because the front door that is equipped with a lock and security code was left open and unlocked on at least 3 separate occasions, so that anyone could just walk into the facility. Also no one was in the front office a few of these times. I think that the owner was very rude and non cooperative a majority of the time. Also upon entering I had witnessed one of the after school workers (a young teenage girl) yelling at one of the small children in one of the upstairs rooms, and another worker (a teenager) playing on her cell phone in the orange room downstairs where my step child was not really watching the kids in that room. Overall I would not recommend this daycare

I have 2 children one 4yr old and one 6 month. My 4 year old has been there for 3 1/2 years! I love the staff! There are employees that now take care of my 6 month old, were there with my first one! So I would have to disagree! Before placing my first son in daycare I went to more than 8 different daycares in the area and I loved Heirport!

Very disappointed in how the facility looks after the children. We have since removed our child from the facility. I just don't feel that they are fully staffed to handle the amount of children they have and that the staff are as observant as they need to be. They also have had quite a bit of turnover with the staff. I think consistancy is extemely important in a child's daily routine. I don't feel as though my child was given the 'safe' atmosphere as promised in the handbook.
