Test scores years running, significantly below state average! While scores do not speak to great building or neighborhood, it does reflect insufficient and inconsistent resources/academic support for students there ages 12-14. Bullying, sometimes as carry over from the elementary school(s), is not really addressed and therefore, a very consistent problem/complaint for many! I'd say, if your child is at standard and above, is appropriately independent or self directed, can disregard the static and stay centered and un-jaded over a long-time, and if parents can be/are super involved daily in the school and their children (to what some might even say a micromanagement level) you will fare better. It's going to be what you can make it outside of some very real drawbacks. It could be a much much better gem of the neighborhood especially with so many other school choices now.

Murray is a great school for my son. He is an 8th Grader there, and loved 7th grade so much. He is signing up for baseball, and is in all challenge courses except for mathematics. This school is just right for him.
