Cape Horn Skye has been a terrific school since kindergarden for our two kids-already they are in the 3rd & 5th grades. It's so refreshing to experience teachers & parents strongly committed to the development of children within our community- I am always impressed with the teachers & staff warmly saying hello to a father they do not see often enough helping out in school- I wonder if they know how much I admire the hard work & effort they put forth each day? While I'm stuck in traffic & the congestion of the 'big city' sometimes far away, it is very comforting to know my kids are at school- just up the 'River Road'. I am very confident knowing my children will grow up appreciating the rural upbringing and the postive experience of a great education attending Cape Horn Skye elementary school. Signed, An Appreciative & Proud Father

The best school I've ever seen, hands down. It's small, which means that the staff knows your name. The classes are almost all combos, which means that a child who needs extra help and attention can almost always find his or her way into somewhere that they will get it. And since it's out in the middle of nowhere, they have a sheriff's office on-site, so the kids (and parents!) feel safe.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
