Sunrise is a wonderful preschool. The staff are caring & supportive. The facilities are beautiful. My children thrived at Sunrise. The school provides a structured environment that teaches the children pre-Kindergarten skills, but they are also given a good amount of time to play & explore. Highly recommended.
Sunrise is very clear about what they are providing for your child. This school presents a structured environment where compliance with the teacher's instructions is demanded. Our child had two very involved and compassionate teachers who were wonderful. However, the school expects young children to sit perfectly still when waiting for their, watch their language, and produce an art or craft on a nearly daily basis to present to their parents. For some 3-4 year old children this is managable, for others, they just need to be kids and enjoy themselves. New students need to be personally interviewed by the headmaster. If your child's behavior is not up to her standard, you will not be enrolled in this school. She makes clear what her expectations are. There are some children who thrive with this approach, other children do not.
