I would agree with what another reviewer wrote. It's all about how much you make and how much 'class' you have. I hear students talking down on someone because their 'modeling' career hadn't taken off.. Utter garbage. It's not just students. Teachers and anyone else who resides (free housing) on campus. They are above you and everyone else. I agree that you'll definately get a reality check on how people can act in real life.

NMH was an interesting experience. They had jobs there and that gave students a sense of responsibility and discipline. Having people there from around the world allowed students to meet a lot of people from different backgrounds. I was there when it was 2 campuses, so it was interesting to have the artsy campus, and the jock campus. It was quite a liberal school which can be very liberating because a lot of these private schools can be quite conservative. This gave students a chance to be themselves, rather than having to live up to this traditional standard. I remember, the first place I ever heard about global warming. It opened up my mind to a lot of new ideas. There was some clickiness going on, but most of that was on the Hermon campus. Those who were bothered always could escape to the Northfield campus.

NMH is awesome. The consolidation on to one campus has made a great school even better. The quality of the faculty and their commitment far exceeds my experience in the highly selective college I attend. I wish the new arts center was finished before I left. I don't think there is a school that can touch NMH for the arts faculty...and the new building will really enhance that. Also...the crew course is the most beautiful in all of New England. Be sure you see it if you visit...the coaches for crew are truly inspiring.
