We are in our 3rd year in the lower school and have had the best experiences possible. Our children are thriving, academically and socially and are becoming amazing citizens. The faculty are exceptionally talented and dedicated individuals who actually know my children, know their interests and are eager to construct their curriculum in ways that integrate each child's natural interests. The result is that our children have become joys to communicate with on subjects other than Disney characters.

I love this school. My daughter has been here for 4 years, and each year, she has gained not only new academic skills, but also confidence. I can't imagine a school where it is safer for a child to become at ease with who she is. There's a great sense of community, and my daughter really feels herself to be a part of this community. It's not perfect no place is but I am grateful for everything they offer. It's a very comfortable place private, but not fancy, with a surprising socioeconomic diversity. The teachers are focused on the whole child, and teachers and administrators really go out of their way to work with students' individual learning needs and styles. The fact that the teachers spend every single lunch hour at a table with mixed ages of children says everything about their commitment.

Pine Cobble School provides my children with a caring, stimulating and nurturing environment. They are becoming a model for 'green' building and eco-friendly classroom practices. I love the class sizes (typically @ 13 children) and appreciate the individualized attention children are offered. Finally, Pine Cobble is an excellent community (parents, kids, fac/staff) to be a part of.

Although Pine Cobble is a nice size and has good kids and kind teachers, they do not offer much more. The music and art departments are nothing special and the school doesn't do much but ask for money. But the worst part is that the Upper School(6-9) does not get nearly enough or as much attention as the lower grades. This school needs to seriosly work on these things before growing or getting anywhere.
