THIS A GREAT SCHOOL BETTER THEN EVERY SCHOOL IN PENNSYLVANIA. YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPIERIENCE THERE YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF WITH A GREAT AMY FAMILY.
I'm a reccent graduate of A.M.Y. (Class of 2009!) and I greatly enjoyed this school. The teachers I've had for the past 3 years, have been amazingly helpful and inspiring. As for the students, I'll admitt some may get out of hand but the school has a good way of dealing with these issues. I've met many wonderful friends throughout my years here and have grown a friendship with them that i will never lose. This school has given me the learning i need to attend Central HIghschool this coming school year. I'm happy my parents allowed me to attend such a school and hope to visit the school as much as possible. As my one friend would repeditly say, 'A.M.Y. isn't just a school, it's one big family you will grow attatched to and never want to leave.' I'll miss all the teachers, and other A.M.Y staff..
Amy can be a good school, depending on the child attending. My daughter entered as an A student and her last year left as a D student. She became friendly with the wrong crowed and went down hill from there. Dennis, the counselor, is amazingly in tune with the kids and is an asset to this school. However, Amy is no different than a regular public school, you still have the bad kids attending and doing drugs, cutting, and fighting. Most of her teachers called home to inform me of her progress and offer suggestions on her new behavior. If your child is not a leader this is not the school for him or her. The Sacks family
I'm going to miss this school, never have i encountered such a caring environment towards students, and respect from students to teachers. So yes I hope to find another caring environment for my daughter. Thank you all at Amy for every thing you've done for us.
