Roosevelt is a diverse, caring school environment with a comprehensive and functioning special education program. As my daughter prepares to go to high school next year and our family moving out of state, my standards of education are high due to the fantasic teamwork of teachers, administration, parents, pta, PASSE, the Board of Education, and the Special Education Department bestowed upon my daughter throughout the years, but especially during her years at Roosevelt. The Principal, Mr. Corrado, unique and extremely special (will miss you) leader, exemplifies what today's diverse middle school student body needs to produce responsible adults later. Roosevelt has won accolades as one of four schools in the country as "The School To Watch" and is truly driving students into the 21st century. Kodos to Roosevelt.

Roosevelt Middle School was named as a School to Watch! In my opinion, Roosevelt is one of, if not the best, schools. The Principal, Mr. Frank Corrado, helped restore my faith in public education. He sets the amazing tone of excellence -both academic and extra-curricular. Every staff member I have met is amazing. They are willing to go above and beyond their job responsibilities in offering extra help and assistance to the students. When problems arise, Roosevelt works like a well oiled machine with all the relevant departments working together to address any issues. As a result, Roosevelt has a warm bully-free environment with truly amazing students!

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
