As a former Gregory School parent and a piano teacher of current students I can see how the children are learning and I am also impressed by the class sizes-5th grade-17 and 18 8n a class!

At the present time, I am of the opinion that the writing assignments for the students should be more comprehensive. The art, music and sport programs are readily available and there are enrichment programs on-site for a nominal fee. The PTA is extremely active, but I don't see alot of discussion regarding academics. They focus more on family activities. I would like to see more focus on academics which hopefully will enable the test scores to increase in all areas.

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
