This school is fantastic and I would describe it as the best school on Staten Island. 10+ out of 10! My kids are happy and learn from an above average staff!
My son graduated from PS 48 this year. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. The school is small in size and population yet is very diverse. My son was exposed to various experiences from Taiko drumming to ballroom dancing to academic honors coursework. The Parent Coordinator, Terry, is great as are many of the teachers, support staff, and Principal Mammolito. Overall it was everything one could ask for in a school and we are saddened to have to move on.
This is a great school. The only problem is the gym is also the lunch room and auditorium.Compared to other schools on the Island I would say this is the best by far.The teachers are wonderful as is the principal. It is a very safe learning enviorment and all are respectful.
i am so happy that my children were able to attend such a wonderful institution, the teachers are above average ,very organized and extremely loving and nurturing. the principal is a very professional yet very motherly and understanding to all the children. The school offers excellent programs, such as ballroom dance, and music and many others that expose the children to all facis if stimulatory experiences.
