My daughter graduated Charter this past Spring, and my son is entering as a 6th grader this Fall. I continue to be very impressed with the staff -- teachers are professional, lively, enthusiastic, knowledgeable -- just great human beings. My son's public elementary experience was, frankly, soul deadening for him: the teachers droning on in a rigid, narrow-minded way, very discouraging and negative about his imperfect efforts, and an overall a lackluster approach to learning. Geez, what a way to kill a child's enthusiasm for learning. I am relieved he gets a chance to grow with the Charter School experience. After his first day at this school's summer 'Nature Camp' with the science teacher Mr. Trull, my son was on fire with ideas about the natural world. And Mr. Trull said that most amazing thing to me: 'Your son is going to have a great career here at Charter.'

This school is the best school hands on, smart, and fun for the kids! I love this school it is the best! :][:
My son is in his second year at the Lighthouse Charter School and I cannot say enough good things about it. Putting him in this school has been the best thing we ever did for our son. If you have a child who is intelligent and eager to learn or a child who is having social problems in the public school, then this is the school for you. There is a very warm, home-y atmosphere here from the staff to the students and peer pressure is almost non-existent as a result. To say that the curriculum is academically challenging would be an understatement. We love Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School!
