You have a school in deep financial trouble, where past Administrators (and present) were inept, where the union is underperforming and has no sense of responsibility whining about cuts and pay while Michigan's U6 unemployment rate is 20%+, where the parents of these kids can't read and write themselves, where exceptions and performances are low. Where sports are more important than cerebral matter, Other than that, it has a nice view of the sunrise.

It's a nice school, but I sure would like the gym back during lunch.. I wish students would clean up there mess and not randomly hurt each other in the gym (throwing basketballs/goofing off). We only get gym on half days:(

I have 4 children that attend lakeview community schools...1 Senior, 2 juniors, and one 8th grader. I graduated from lakeview and i am not impressed with the school now. I didn't really think about it as a student, but as a parent this school really lacks initiative, enthusiaism, and teaching ability. I have a son that is adhd and the teachers don't really have an idea on how to handle those children.I feel that the sports programs are poorly managed. Tooo many clicks and politics. I feel very concerned about the future of the kids of lakeview. I don't feel like my children got the best education they could have if i would have taken them to another school...Sorry but true! hope things change and fast

As a former student i feel that lakeview high school is not a place i want to my childern to go. the school has a program for slower kids which is great but i believe they should have had a program for smarter kids and at least offered AP classes. the extracurricular activities are horrible, they need more qualified coaches and more options for the students. Lakeview schools are just lacking alot of things that they need to help prepare students for college and life outside of high school.

My child works on a old computer table in his room. He also has everything he needs at his fingertips.
