Ector high school was one of the best experiences of my life. Even though there weren't as many extracurricular opportunities as others in the surrounding area, the environment and atmosphere more than made up for it. There was a very good student to teacher ratio, and students were encourage to seek help at all times if necessary. The teachers became more like family as opposed to just teachers. Not only did they teach us the 'basics' but we learned values and acceptance as well. While the school could use improvement in the English/Language field I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

I was a student at Ector High School, my experiences were good and bad, as any teenager. Ector is a very close knit family and the teachers are very involved in the students academic life and personal life. I could open up to my teachers more than my own parents. However, there is not a wide variety of extracurricular activities unless you are involved in sports. I would send my child to Ector Schools if we lived in the area.

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
