My family and I were thrilled with the turn around of Charleston Middle School this year. Mrs. Hardy and her staff focused more on academics, attendance, etc. and the parent involvement seemed stronger than it has ever been. Also, we were very pleased with the elementary band program and we were saddened when Miss Richmond decided to leave us. She is a fabulous elementary band director. We are also very please with Mrs. Callender and her 'Challenge' class, which gives students extracurricular involvement. Safety and security for our children is important as well and we were please with the school's staff, such as security officers and such. We are anxious to see the outcome of the new school uniform policy. We believe it is needed and will help with discipline problems. Overall, we are thrilled with CMS and hope that these changes will also be made at Charleston Junior High School.

Definitely! I believe that families should be allowed to attend any school they want, because there are some who went to a good school and parents want what's best for their kids. Even education.
