This school is going down the drain, poor faculty reflects on the increasing number of drop outs along with kids that move to a nearby school. My kids will not be attending bolivar.

Bolivar high school is a great school with good teachers. But one of the main problems is there are a lot of cliques. Most of the children who go to this school have been there for their whole lives and do not accept new children. The school does run on who has money in the town and who doesn't, you're families social statis in the town basically is the popularity you have in school. Also the school is extremely christian for a public school, making it hard for kids that are different to fit in.

This school favors the 'big names' or people with money, even in sports, clubs, grades, and awards. I am not the only one that feels this way, please just ask around.

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
