Castle was the best possible school for our son. Teachers and staff are dedicated and effective. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond. Standards are high. The small size of the program means that no one is ignored. Family involvement is high, with family therapy twice a month, parent support groups twice a month, and regular time at home. If you think there's a problem, let them know. They will respond.

After years of struggling in school and at home our son needed more help than we could give him.Our town suggested a few residential schools for us to look at and even though it was the hardest decision we ever had to make as parents it was the best one. We chose the Castle School because of the challenging academic program, the structured behavioral program, and the college educated nurturing staff. We call it the 'Harvard' of residential programs. Castle School was like a second home and second family. We participated in parent support groups, family counseling, and once a month family activity day. Our son graduated the high school and Castle School program. He now lives in his own apartment and who knows where he would be if this school had not been a part of his life.

Castle School is considered the 'Harvard 'of residential treatment schools. It is a well thought out, comprehensive therapeutic milieu with a personalized academic program. Parent support is extensive with twice monthly meetings, family activity days, family potluck suppers (the kids prepare one - the parents another) along with family therapy and family visits. Students participate in volunteer work and some have jobs. Castle is a wonderful option when this type of program is needed.

My son was 10 when his emotional and behavioral problems forced him out of the public school system.I felt completely hopeless and exhausted by the time he entered Castle at age 14. The well-crafted program in this small, nurturing environment includes group, individual, and family therapy; a strong academic component; transitional activities (to local high school, internships and jobs); and smart, warm, skilled staff members who play to each student s strengths. The kids learn to socialize appropriately both within and outside of the beautiful Victorian house in the middle of a vibrant city. The parent support group was a crucial, powerful resource. My son graduated after 2-1/2 years and I credit Castle with helping him become stable, normal,' and finally, happy. We are both grateful to this school.
