During my teaching tenure the quality at this school has continually declined. The large majority of students (75-90%) entering the high school are unable to do simple math(multiply, divide, add two single digit numbers in their heads, spell more than the simplest words, know virtually no history, and write very poorly since the district does not really teach grammar. The district administrators say that knowledge is not necessary anymore. Knowledge was for the 20th century not the 21st century. There is much more to this story but I do not want to belabor the point. I left for these reasons.

I have had 2 children Graduate and one more left to the challenge.I feel our School has provided a very good opportunity for our children to learn, grow, mature and be educated with decent caring concerned teachers.A Principal who is there for the students and the parents. The quality is here in Quakertown, the greatest Art teachers and Programs available.Sports is Alive and moving In Quakertown. We have the School News paper with a public issue put out every month, 'The Panther Paws.' We have our own student photographers who help with the paper and the Yearbook Staff, who is done with the work of the students and their own great teachers.Music is great here and we have a Jazz Band also. The teachers keep the parents informed as to the needs of the student. Quakertown has numerous things to offer and I am proud to have brought our children here to this school.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
