Hollis is one a few schools in the area accepting tuition much like a private school. If you have an out of district child they can attend Hollis. Hollis has an all day kindergarten. My youngest is in Kindergarten and oldest is in 2nd Grade. The kids are challenged academically. The smaller class size allows the students to study some subjects at their own pace allowing extra time for one-on-one instruction for students who need it. This is my third year as a Hollis Mom and I ve been volunteering a bit at the school. The kids are clean and happy. There are always smiles in the halls. As the Principal walks down the halls she addresses the kids she meets with their names and smiles and IS interested in them and engages them with comments about their day, their schoolwork or their interests.

My son is very happy here. The class sizes are small and this allows the teacher to spend more one on one time with each student. The parents are very involved with the children's education.

Academically, Hollis ranks at the top with us. I couldn't ask for a better education and teaching staff than what is at Hollis. Being a non-resident family, which means we don't get to vote on the school board, is kind of hard as they definitely need some representatives that are not afraid to stand up for the betterment of the school, the children and back their employees. The teaching staff needs to help the parents to understand how to raise the children to not be in cliques and treat kids with respect and ultimately how they would like to be treated. With all due respect, the children's grades are very high at Hollis.
