My child attended the Turning Point School for three years. Without their structured, no nonsense teaching technique he would still be struggling. All the teachers are trained in the method called Slingerland. They also are certified, expereienced teachers. My child attended the public school this last year after being in Turning Point for three. He graduated with A's and B's. They are structured and have high expectations but they are fair and kind to thestudents. If a student is not behaving correctly they are given fair consequences. Poor behavior is not accepted at this school. I think they have been in Tucson for 10 or 11 years.

This school bills its self as specializing in Dyslexia and ADD. To be a good Dyslexic school you must be willing to try different phonics programs to determine which on works with each child. This school will only use one kind. There is no speech program, dyslexic students need this too.
