Great great school! I would recommend this school to anyone who wants a home town feeling school. All the students are great and respectful. All classes challenge the students, to help them reach their full potential before college. The basketball, volleyball, and softball/baseball programs are top notch too.

As a former student of this school, I'm split down the middle. Both elementary and middle schools are excellent, however, the high school is another story. I don't think it prepared me for college as well as it could have. Same as any school, activities (mainly sports) are all about politics, which is a shame. The school finally has a good priniciple, which Illini Bluffs hasn't seen one since 2003 with Mr. Brown. The math department is truely horrible. If the math classes weren't so bad, I would definitely recommend this school.

Illini Bluffs High School is good and seems to be getting better. My kids have had a good experience there. My daughter is in college and doing well; she says she could have been a little better prepared academically, but I don't fault the school. It is small enough for everyone to get to know each other, and large enough to provide a wide variety of activities. The arts are thoroughly represented by a committed staff. Academics are fine, and trying to improve. Like anywhere, kids who work hard excel, and kids who aren't motivated don't. Though there were some unfortunate things that happened regarding faculty and administration in the not so distant past, the faculty that weathered the storm came through it fighting and work hard for the good of our kids. Keep up the good work IB!

Great school, modern building and grounds. good teachers with home town feel. My kids moved here from Tremont, IL. and love this school. Teachers are doing their best and provide safe school environment. Good sports programs. Wish they had football. Grade and middle schools are top notch and high schools is good.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
