I have two children at the school, a 1st grader and a daughter who attended from K and is now in 5th. Ocee is a wonderful school with great teachers and an excellent principal. I highly recommend this school.
The programs, activities and parental involvment seem very good so far. I had lunch with my child there and sat with the rest of the kids which was really neat. However, they don't monitor what the kids eat like they did back in my day. One little boy ate his ice cream bar and left everything else; that's all he ate without any word from a monitor. Only ding I have against them at all.
Sept 2006 -my daughter is in her first year @Ocee,we moved from Ct. She loves 2nd grade. The teacher uses all positive reinforcement,teaches the children how to self monitor ,and is giving my daughter problem solving skills. The curriculum uses creative life events to teach certain principles. She loved the Fall Community project!
